Please note : This class is for experienced students. It will be understood that the student has, or is developing a strong inversion practice. The poses will be graceful, yet very challenging. You will be asked to move in a way that might be utterly unfamiliar to you. This class will build endurance, stamina, mental strength, increase intuition, and a profound sense of compassion. Variations on inversions, deeper twists, and binds, will be taught.
Pranayama (breathing practices) will be explored on a deeper level. Mantram and japa (the repetiton of a mantra) will be taught to refine asana practice. The class is based on the teachings of Sri Dharma Mittra and Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, both masters of classical, traditional yoga.
